Big Girl!

Our little monkey is growing up so fast!  It is hard to believe that it has been nearly a year since she was born.  When people tell you that it goes by fast, they aren't kidding.  We nearly have a toddler on our hands, rather than a baby, and she is going to be be walking and talking in no time.

As Carissa gets older, her little personality continues to develop.  She can be quite opinionated and will let you know what she wants with a little shout.  She loves being outside and will now request that by pointing toward the door and grunting.  She also loves food, and is quick to let you know when she wants more.  She loves Jasper and Grayson, and gets very excited to see and touch them, but they are both quick to depart when she starts pulling their fur and tails.  She also wants to see and touch EVERYTHING, whether it is a toy or not.  She definitely keeps us on our toes and laughing with her funny looks and sounds.  :)

She loves her Daddy

9 Months

Carissa was 9 months on May 12.  She is cruising around the house and getting into everything!  She can clap, dance to music, loves to look at books, and is babbling up a storm.

Ski to Sea Parade

On Memorial Day weekend each year, Bellingham is home to the famous Ski to Sea race, an eight person relay race that starts at Mt. Baker and ends in Bellingham Bay.  I have participated in the race many times, but had never gone to the parade until this year.  Grandma Ann was in town for the day and we all had fun watching Carissa enjoy the marching bands.
