She seems to really love bath time, and will just lay in the tub quietly.

Videos
Carissa is babbling more and more, and I was finally able to get it on a few videos. The quality it not excellent; I am going to try to find a better way to upload them in the future. In the first video she is sitting in her swing and it is playing jungle sounds, which she loves listening too. She also loves the maracas I am shaking crazily in front of her face, which a friend brought her from Mexico. In the second video she is staring intently at a burp cloth with little bumblebees on it. There's something about those bees that she loves, and she talks up a storm when she is looking at them. She is also getting better at holding her head up by herself.

Go Seahawks!
As you know, Luke and I are Seahawks fans and whether Carissa knows it or not, she is too! These are pictures from the game last week. Auntie Kristy got her the Seahawk onesies and she is getting big enough to wear them! Her friend Jack is a Seahawk fan too. :)
Carissa was not in the mood to get her picture taken.
1 Month Old!
On September 12 Carissa had her One Month birthday and she was all smiles that day! I had ordered some monthly onesie stickers, but they arrived a few days later so I took pictures then.
The flash was a little bright for her. :)
Welcome to the Bottle
A few weeks ago, we gave Carissa a bottle for the first time and she took to it right away. Now Daddy can give her a bottle sometimes, and so can a babysitter.
Our Family Blog
I decided that creating a blog to show friends and family everything we've been up to was easier than always posting things to facebook. So, welcome to our blog!
I guess I'll start with an update on baby Carissa. She was 6 weeks old on Monday. She is getting bigger all the time, and has pretty much grown out of most of her newborn clothes. She is still a good sleeper at night, and definitely has fallen into a night time routine of filling up on plenty of food and then going to bed for the night around 8 or 9. She still wakes up once or twice during the night to eat, but I feel pretty lucky that I get longer stretches of sleep at night. Some days she is awake a lot and other days she sleeps more. She is looking at things more and has more control over her hands and arms. She also has a strong neck and can hold her head steady for longer and longer stretches.
She loves music and already has her favorite songs; Ho Hey by the Lumineers and any John Denver can get her quiet instantly. One of Luke's coworkers teaches an infant/toddler music class and gave us a free semester as a gift. The first class was on Wednesday and she loved it. I forgot the camera, but will make sure to take it next week.
