We spent the day taking Carissa to swing at the park, which is one of her new favorite activities! She also had fun trying out the little slide and will soon be going all by herself, I'm sure.

Tulip Festival
We decided to take Carissa to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this year. It was a beautiful warm day, and the tulips were in full bloom. We got many good pictures of Carissa, but only one as a family and it was in the shadows. There's always next year!

Playing Guitar with Daddy
Luke recently got his guitar all tuned up, much to Carissa's delight. She loves to listen to him play, uses his guitar case as a "play bench", and likes to help play (or eat the guitar).
7 months
Now that Carissa is almost 8 months old, I am finally getting around to posting her 7 months pictures! She is getting so wiggly that it is hard to get good pictures of her. Also, I remember on this day she was talking up a storm so she has quite the facial expression in some of the pictures!
Silly Girl!
Carissa's personality is definitely making it's debut as she gets older, and she is proving to be quite outgoing and silly. While she is often clingy to Mom at home, in public she likes to get attention from strangers and always gives them a cute little grin. At home when she is not begging Mom to hold her, she loves to play with toys, look at books, and explore the house. She is getting more and more mobile by the day and is slowly mastering a real crawl, rather than the army crawl that she has been doing for about a month. It's amazing how fast she learns things now, and how big she is getting. Before we know it, she will be walking and talking!
Recent accomplishments: crawling, clapping, saying "dada" and "mama" (but not really meaning it), pulling up to her knees, balancing on hands and toes (downward facing dog), drinking from a sippy cup, playing peek-a-boo

Snow in Bellingham
Every winter we get a little snow in Bellingham, but we rarely get a lot at once. However, this winter we had some good storms and in one case it snowed 16 inches in 24 hours! Carissa seems to love the snow, so we are excited for next winter when she can actually play in it. :)
